The client booking journey

From Book Now to a Confirmed Appointment

Follow the booking journey from choosing a service to confirmation. Each step shows what the client sees and what it means for your shop.

  1. Choose the service

    Clients see the price and duration of each service before choosing.

    For the shop Service duration determines how much free time the appointment needs.

  2. Choose the barber

    Clients pick a named barber, or “Any barber” when the fastest available chair matters more.

    For the shop Only barbers who offer that service appear as choices.

  3. Choose an available time

    Clients choose a day and see available times alongside their booking details.

    For the shop The shop's hours, service duration and existing bookings decide which times appear. The Cutstate Barbers example uses fictional diary data.

  4. Add details and the payment step

    Name and email are required; phone is optional. On a live KERSIVO Starter booking page, clients then choose to pay a £5 deposit or the full price.

    For the shop Booking details include the client's contact information and any required payment. The fictional demo takes no payment.

  5. See the booking confirmation

    The demo ends with “You're all set” and creates no appointment or email. On a live booking page clients see “Booking confirmed”, and the appointment details are on their way by email.

    For the shop A confirmed live booking appears in the shop's booking system.

  • Working hours

    In this example, Marcus works 09:00–19:00. On a live shop page, each barber's hours, breaks and time off determine when they can be booked.

  • Service length

    A Skin Fade needs 45 minutes. 12:30 is unavailable because it would overlap Marcus's 13:00 appointment.

  • Existing appointments

    11:45 is also unavailable: Marcus is booked until 11:50. Clients are shown the remaining free slots.

Where confirmed bookings land

When a real booking is confirmed, it is saved as Booked in your shop's Bookings timeline — the diary the owner and team work from — and that time stops being offered to other clients.

What Does a Customer Pay When They Book?

Every public booking on KERSIVO Starter (£0/month) requires an online payment. Here is how a client can pay for an illustrative £25 service.

  • 0% KERSIVO commission. Standard Stripe payment-processing fees still apply.
  • Connect Stripe first. Public Starter bookings need the shop's own connected, payment-ready Stripe account.
  • Choose how to pay. For services above £5, customers choose either the £5 deposit or payment in full — not both. A service priced at exactly £5 has a single £5 payment.
  • No pay-at-shop option for public Starter bookings. Public Starter bookings require at least £5 paid online. A public Starter booking cannot be completed without payment.

Full KERSIVO £39/month per physical location, with a professionally prepared branded website. The shop owner can choose Pay at shop (no online payment), a £5 deposit, or full payment online. Deposits count towards the service price, with the balance paid at the shop. Standard Stripe processing fees apply to online card payments.

A Few Things Worth Knowing.

Do my customers need to download an app?

No. Customers can book in their browser on a phone, tablet or computer.

Can customers choose their preferred barber?

Yes. Clients can choose an eligible barber who offers the selected service and has an available appointment.

KERSIVO Starter supports up to four active bookable barbers per physical location. Full KERSIVO is the path when you need a larger active team.

Do customers have to pay when booking?

On KERSIVO Starter, every public online booking requires at least £5 paid online. For services above £5, the customer chooses a £5 deposit or payment in full. A service priced at exactly £5 is paid in full.

On Full KERSIVO, the shop owner chooses Pay at shop (no online payment), a £5 deposit, or payment in full online. Deposits count towards the service price and the balance is paid at the shop. Standard Stripe payment-processing fees still apply.

Can customers reschedule or cancel appointments?

Customers can request a change or cancellation through links in their booking confirmation email.

Requests are subject to the shop’s booking, cancellation and payment policies. Free changes or automatic refunds are not guaranteed.

Can I start with Starter and upgrade to Full later?

Yes. Starter and Full share the same underlying KERSIVO platform. Full adds a branded website, standard domain arrangement, support for larger teams and wider business tools.

Full KERSIVO is £39/month per physical location. Website preparation follows standard onboarding; it is not an instant launch.
